Online marketing: Don't waste your money
There's no sense in having a website if it doesn't produce results.
Many websites are intended to be a complimentary or supplementary part of a greater marketing strategy. Sometimes this leads the website owner into thinking that websites promote themselves. After all, why should anyone put money into promoting something that was intended to be a promotional tool to begin with?
The truth, however, is that websites must be promoted. If not, they don't generate traffic. If nobody is looking at a site, then why pay money for it? You wouldn't want to buy a radio spot if nobody was going to hear it, would you?
The good news is that the payback for marketing a website effectively far outweigh the costs associated with promoting it.
